Air conditioner pump clutch bearing

Just replaced the clutch bearing, really surprised me cause it was easier than I thought. I was able to replace without opening the freon lines. Remove the air cleaner assemblies and air cleaner bracket which has 2 bolts into the frame behind the freon line on the vehicle frame, it is plastic bracket and the bolts point down. Also unbolted the battery jump bracket and some electronic device, and unplug connector and move all this toward the fender. Remove the elec plug at air cond pump.
Remove the lower bolt for air cond pump, 3 bolts total. Then remove the 2 top bolts. Force the vee belts off the pully.
Then I pulled the pump up enough to remove the pulley, I used a piece of wood under the pump to hold it up.
Remove the bolt from center of pully, used 3 jaw pulley remover, came off really easy. With pully off.
I cut the several small sweges or impressions which holds the bearing in the pully, i used a small metal cutting tool bought in a grinding kit from Harbor Freight, then using several very big washers and 1/2 inch bolt I pulled the bearing past the impressions then used small hammer to slowly and carefully remove the old bearing. I slowly tapped the new bearing back into the same position and depth. Use a center punch to make impressions around the bearing to hold it in.
When putting the bearing clutch back on to the pump shaft I removed one of the small shims, 0.015 inch. there must be some wearing off the clutch bearing so I figured this would account for that. I made sure the bearing pully rotated freely after installing the bold.
Note there was 2 shims between the shaft of the pump and pully, one is 0.045, one is 0.015 inch
Put everything back together. Nice I did not have to adjust the vee belt.
Worked great noise gone. job took 3 hours but also did oil change.
