Thats true, & I know the tires are supposed to be inflated to what the maximum load rating of the vehicle is. Get below that & the TPS light comes on. However, I couldn't stand the rough ride. I used my Solus to lower the pressure level setting in the TPS system. I have read that it's not something a dealer can, or will do for liability purposes. I ran my 2003 2500HD at 50 PSI front & rear. Then bumped it to 75 PSI when towing, or hauling something of any weight. Of coarse that vehicle didn't have the TPS

Just such a huge ride improvement, its worth the trouble too me, & I hardly ever tow anything.

my 2000 1500 has C load tires AT type. spec pressure is 50 psi front /rear. I put 50 in front and 43psi rear with the normal light load on board. when carrying heavy load put 50 psi in rear. tow 20 ft boat same increase. I got 92,ooomi on the first OEM tires. now still on the replacement set at about 60,ooomi.

with pressure dropping it does ride smoother . but at a cost of about 1-2 mpg.

TPS is tire pressure sensor . I thought this can be reset.

hard to find load C tires now. tire guy says just drop pressure so you get a better ride but I know the MPG will fall. also bigger heavier tires will drop MPG.

Sorry, I was meaning tire pressure system, not the individual sensors. Probably bad choice of words.
