Merry Christmas and Happy F1 New Year!

So it's the time of the year to wish You All very good and peacefull Christmas and Happy New Year!
This year in this Forum was great again, even I was a bit more silent than before but still followed the things allmoust everyday.
I think one of the writers here will remember this year very warm and memoryfull feelings...
Hope the year 2013 will bring F1's to Finland also!

Re: Merry Christmas and Happy F1 New Year!

I'd also like to wish the members of this forum a Merry Christmas (or insert your own favorite holiday) and a joyous and prosperous New Year. Even if this isn't the most active forum on the internet, it's still my favorite and the one I look at first when I start my day. Thanks to all who make it great!

Here's an image I've had for a short time - figured it would be most appropriate to wait and share it now. I've also spent some time removing dust & scratches as it was scanned from an old slide by a friend of the program. I've never seen the picture before - not sure if anyone else has? - but I speculated that it could have been a candidate for the 1996 Christmas card from McLaren Cars?

While it might appear that this is the world's largest bow, I've been told that under the cover is actually the scaled-down wind tunnel model for the 1997 F1 GTR longtail.

Re: Merry Christmas and Happy F1 New Year!

I love little glimpses at history. I think classic photos like this pair here are amazing gifts. Hopefully the rest of you will enjoy them too on this wonderful day.

Both clickable for high resolution and many special thanks to the very generous friend of the program who forwarded them along.

Re: Merry Christmas and Happy F1 New Year!

Which car is in the second photo?
And that is Brooklands in the first one, right? Are there more shots from this session?

Re: Merry Christmas and Happy F1 New Year!

I believe it is probably #003, but the photo is inconclusive.

I've seen some other low quality shots of XP5 at Brooklands in the past but nothing else like that one.
