91 Loyale Battery drains
1991 Loyale, 124000 miles. Automatic, FWD.
If I dont start the car for several days, the battery is dead. Based on other issues and this one, I have replaced, Starter, Alternator, both Neg and Positive wire from battery. What ares do you suggest that I could be looking at. For the most part, I keep it garaged...and I remove the neg from battery so that it wont drain. Appreciate you help in advance... Ken |

Re: 91 Loyale Battery drains
Connect a DMM (meter) between the neg cable and the battery neg post. Meter must be able to read amps. Set to milli-amps and see what the draw is. On your vehicle I would expect to see .014mA or less. If its much more than that, start pulling fuses till the draw goes away, then see what is on that fuse circut. If you don't have a meter you can use a test light, it should be dim when connected between the cable and battery, if it's bright, do the same with the fuses till the light drops out...make sure the doors are closed, key off and all the interior lights are off when testing.
