Painting and powder coating

I'm thinking about doing a couple things to my pickup

1. I want to paint the grille black its a light gray right now. What would be the best prep for this?

2. I want to powder coat my valve covers how much powder would that take on a 350 chevy motor?

3. What are some other things that would be fairly simple to powder coat around that truck? Maybe differential cover?
