heater motor/blower

2002 f-150 excab..........dead battery after work.......got a jump, made it home,turned key off.......fan motor kept running with key in hand. All four speeds like it was still running. Any ideas as where to start? JOE

Do any other accessories work when the key is off... radio, wipers etc. If yes, there may be a short somewhere, perhaps in the steering column.

Check what he says. Sounds like a stuck relay to me.

woke up with a dead battery and after charging it up and starting it I could not repeat the problem. Gut feeling is that it is in the ignition switch at the steering column. thanks fer lookin.......JOE
