All locks not functioning but have power 02 Explorer XLT V8

I have a 2002 Ford explorer XLT V8. My door locks recently stopped working, including all switches to lock and unlock, and the rear glass hatch lock. My alarm comes on when I hit the buttons on the remote, but the key pad and switches dont do anything. There is a click coming from a harness that is above the rear passanger seat belt so when you use the remote and the switches so I know power is getting to that point at least. Was not having any issues leading up to this. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,
J

Re: All locks not functioning but have power 02 Explorer XLT V8

Welcome to the forum!

There was one Explorer owner that I recall had very similar symptoms to yours (although I don't recall if he could hear the relay). I provided him the wiring diagrams and he ended up finding a broken wire somewhere near the rear seat. I think it may have been the generation prior to your 2002, but not sure. I think it was where the wires transitioned from the sill plate to the wiring channel under the 2nd row seat.

If you are comfortable reading wiring diagrams, send me a private message with the request and an e-mail address for you and I'll send you the PDFs from the factory service manual for the remote keyless entry and locks.
