94 Camry driver's door stuck shut

My car's driver's side door is stuck shut. It won't open from the outside or inside. The lock still works (from the outside and inside). Sometimes the window will go all the way down and sometimes it won't. It usually sounds like it's running into something. We've tried using a flat hook through the window but can't figure it out. Please help!

Sounds to me like the link that is supposed to be attached from the door handle to the door opening mechanism of the door has broken off inside the door. The window not opening all the way may be running into broken-off parts. Since you can't get the door open, you may have to "break out" the outer door handle and access the door opening mechanism that way to get the door open.
