What's the best way to become a car maintanence tech
Hello,
I have always wanted to work on cars for a living, but have little experience. My community college offers an associates in Automotive but I didn't know if anyone else could recommend other ways to expand my knowledge base. FYI I can't even change my own oil

The community college is a good idea. Try to buddy-up with someone that knows how to work on cars. The education part is important, but nothing beats hands-on!

Appreciate it!!! Do you know if they basically teach you everything you need to know in the college classes...especially hands on?

They can never teach you everything you need to know, but you'll get a good idea of the different areas of automotive repair and how to to basic repairs.
