Ok so me and my dad recently replaced my AC compressor+clutch, Dryer, and expansion valve after having problems with the clutch and the AC not working. Now the belt squeals whenever i make turns but it only does this when the AC is on. Does anybody have any ideas on what may be causing this? I am thinking about buying a new steering pump but if there is a cheaper route to fixing this I am all for it. The belt is brand new so it is not the problem.

Re: 97 SOHC Neon Belt squeal
You need to tighten the tension for the belt. That is usually why it will squeal.

Re: 97 SOHC Neon Belt squeal
Sounds like the belt is not tight enough. Tighten the belt. That should resolve the problem.

Re: 97 SOHC Neon Belt squeal
I tightened the belt and put dressing on it. It still squeals. Any other ideas? Im thinking I'll probably just put on a new pump.
