Transmission filter
I have a 94 f150 4x4 offroad with a 5.0. I went to change the transmission filter and when I got the old filter out is was flat and the new one has a round tube sticking out the bottem. Now the pan does have an indention in the bottem. So my ? is which is the right one??? Is there anything I should worry about lol. O and the transmission has 14 bolt pan. Any advise would really help. Thanks

Re: Transmission filter
there is 2 type of filters,,,one for 4x4,,,,the other is for 2x4,,or car application,,,if pan is formed to accept the filter with the extension,,that is the correct filter....the filter that you removed was for a 2x4 application,,would work ok ,,but could cause issues if fluid level was low......
