Removing all the body panels... fastener inconsistency.

Got the right side quarter off this evening. It was held on with two different sized nut/bolts, rivets, and epoxy. I wasn't expecting epoxy at the panel seams. Not sure why someone didn't just get a huge bag of button head bolts and nylock nuts and use those.

Anyone else strip their car down and run into something similar? It'll go back together with the same hardware used throughout.

Re: Removing all the body panels... fastener inconsistency.

Brian,
I've had several parts disassembled and did not run into anything like that. I could tell that various panels had been replaced at different times based on a variety of fasteners, missing fasteners and some re-drilling of the fastener holes. My guess is that somebody got lazy on yours.
