Jaguar XJ-S , Hasegawa 1/24, GP Brno 1983

I recently wrote, what will be the next kit.

So there it is. For some time.
As it looks in the box.

I decided to do a car of the year 1983. Car of the year in 1984, to all of you.

The draft is this winner machine .
Riding with him Tom Walkinshaw and Chuck Nicholson.

Recall the entire season.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bcSfuPsCXA

I started kit in January 2012.

Engine

Seat

Ready car bodywork

Car chassis, the engine is established in it.

getting a works in interier.

protective frame

Decals for the year 1983, I have made myself. The company DMC is doing, but are not good. They have the wrong Green color, and not for the race in Brno.

My decal

To test the compiled model with wheels.

Wheels ready and established in its place.

And the most interesting part of the car, the rear spoiler. If anybody has more detailed pictures of this part, I'll be glad for every .

The rear spoiler.
Subject to a separate debate.
After many attempts and examination, I solved it this way.
In the photos it is as follows:

.... and I did it on the model as follows:

the cooler for the differential are located as follows:

The individual parts of the rear spoileru I have made and being set on the copy.

So far, only about 10 pieces.
But it's the future.......

Now I do this:

Some great progress you're showing here.
Engine already looks nice and busy.

I have this same kit in my collection, but I'll be building the box-stock version (if I ever get around to building the kit, that is).

Also a nice solution concerning the rear spoiler.
At first I didn't know what you meant, as I didn't see one where I suspected it would be.
Never seen a spoiler in that place...
It makes for a special model though.

Beautiful cat by the way.
And I was pleasantly surprised to see Johann 'das Gespenst' from Das Boot pop up in the background...

Rear spoiler , properly it is: rear aerodynamic element (feature).
If this was ( year 1983) a court : Jaguar vs FIA + BMW
Result: the component is allowed adjustment of the car for the group.
Still on the race in Monza 1984 the radiator cars Jaguar should. Then no more.

(time 1:55 and more)
Race cars team TWR are not the same. Both in 1983 but in 1984. What a piece of it original.

OT
"das Gespenst"
Sometimes I'll do something else than the car .
Johan - bust of 1/16(?)

Jan" Freiherr of Lipé" - figures 54mm Pegaso models

But back.
Bodywork is in color

Great job and nice attention to the details! I like the work on the engine and the rear wing.

Good luck with future progress

No, I'm using DecalDoc. White or clear for Laser. http://www.decaldoc.de/index.php
They are better and have a standard dimension A4 .

Něco malého se tu pro Tebe určitě najde. Bude stačit nápis TWR ?
I find a little something for you. Will do the sign TWR?

A small progres.
From a friend I brought the castings. The small resin pile.

Assembled without glue.

The condenser with a divorce.

Printing company was produced decal by me. I'm a little bit with decals in the wars. But now I know how to work with them. And it's no problem.

Today's work.

The progress you're showing is great.
Decals look great too.

That's a healthy collection of "aerodynamic elements".
Are you going to build more Jaguars?

Thanks for the comments.
It will be for the Modeller. For a small price. I have also the decals.
I still have to finish the brief instructions. How it's done, I'll write.
