Transmission leak

I rebuilt a transmission and i have it installed i put everything in it gasket and filter i put the fluid in and i fired it up it ran for about five minutes with no problems and then a little stream of fluid comes out it stops as soon as i cut the motor off i get up under the car it is hard to tell where the fluid is coming from so i adjusted the pan bolts fired it back up samething and its in one spot over on the passenger side

helps to know what tranny it is .

the fill tube , pan gasket could be the problem .when the engine is running the pan level drops. I would use some white cloth and wrap around the area that looks like its coming out of.

if you messed up on the install of the pan gasket this is not uncommon.

never use cork gaskets. I use rubber gaskets. these are lightly torqued to 5-7 ft lbs. the holes are slightly smaller than the stud dia. this allows studs to hold the gasket in place prior to you installing the pan.

could be crack or hole in the case.

possible you over filled it .

the tranny is a 350 turbo after diagnosing i found out what was wrong it has round plate on the side where the cooling lines is but the seal was blown so i dropped it down and took it out putting it back in was no fun it has a spring inside plus there is a lock ring that goes around it so its finally fixed now but thanks for the pointers

sounds like the intermediate clutch 1-2 accumulator cover seal. with the correct tool it is much easier.

th350 is a strong transmission. just use a good sized external cooler.
