Ignition Switch Problem, Key Stuck.

I have a 2001 Grand Am, automatic. I was having problems with not being able to turn my car completely off. It would be stuck on A/C, but i could still pull the key out, and my battery would drain. I replaced the ignition cylinder, however, even with the new cylinder, I cannot turn my car completely off, and I cannot remove the key now either. Any advice would be helpful.

Re: Ignition Switch Problem, Key Stuck.

there is a protection that if you forget to put your car into park that prevent you from removing your key. I guess that solenoid is stuck or the switch that tell that you are in park is defect... I'ld start by the solenoid first, which I have no idea where it is... or maybe it's a cable too...
