Yes... god forbid we should have to stick two pieces of plastic together and clean up a seam, if you can see it... Since I'd probably strip the chrome anyway, I've got no issue with two part wheels. And if the tyres are like that in the final version, well I think it might be easier and look better to cut out a disk from the back side tyre rim where you can't see it than to remove a "gate" from the middle of the tread, where it usually is. Frankly, that looks like a superbly detailed and engineered kit, and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one...
