Spits and Sputters

I have a 2002 Grand Am the motor started to shake and loose power like it is missing , I checked the plugs and 2 of them where wet smell of gas is strong I did replace the coil pack but not ignition module , could someone tell me what most likely could be the problem and what else I should check the check engine does stay on constantly.

you need to have the computer scanned first to see what codes are stored
then post with codes
what engine 4 or 6 cyl??

If you replaced the coil pack then you have another issue, have the code scanned. With a test light you could also check to be sure that the pack get signal on all coils...
