ok my wife and another women went to by my wife this car without a man with them they jacked her good she paid $12.000 bucks and it's got the 4 cyl 2.2 i told her she payed way to much she could have gotan a brand new impla i indy. anyway i told her not to over fill it now gas guage goes up to full then it will go down to empty. is this a ground wire causing this? or is another sensor because i told her i would never work on it well now i'm putting brakes on it all the way around on it. but i need to find out whats going on about gas guage?

I believe the gas gauge part, but find it hard to swallow how the car was bought.

The 2004 and 2005 Malibus/Maxxes had issues with the fuel guage, caused by a bad fuel tank (mine was replaced way back when). I don't believe the '06s and '07s had the issue. So, I don't know.

You can't buy a new Impala for $12K. But this car is not worth anywhere near $12K. Sounds like you and she have issues.....

yes her a her sister whent and bought it i never knew it before she brung it home. let me tell you the rack was popping,right front wheel bearing, tires were good but 1 and car pulled because of that bad tire witch was a bridgestone so they put 4 new tires and she had to pay half she never told me about paying before tire deal was done so she got screwed there i did get them to replace rack after i went over there. now everything is going bad i just put new brakes on it. it had 50 or 51000 on it when she bought it.only way i got i got rack fixed was call the attorney general she got. and she payed about $5000 to much i think anyway. what happened they seen to women coming and she got screwed big time. i wont even tell you what i did when i showed up there.
