Buzzing noise behind dash when using hazards
When I turn the hazard lights on, a buzzing noise starts behind the glove box. The flashers don't come on either. Is there some kind of fuse or module behind the glove box that could be fouled? My truck is a 2001 Chevy Blazer 4wd 4.3L Vortex Thanks for your help.
Also, my truck tends to run a little hot. My coolant levels are good, water pump only about 1.5 years old, and thermostat about the same. Any ideas of the causes? |

You could try to feel the flashing unit (or what ever is buzzing) while turning the hazard lights on to see if it is vibrating. If it is, buy a new one and see if that fixes the problem. When was the last time the Cooling system was flushed out? What color is your coolant? Muddy brown, Bright Green, Bright Orange? Does it run hotter than 210° F or about middle on the dash gage? Summer time with A/C on will make your truck run hotter. Read this thread: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...+system+advice

Re: Buzzing noise behind dash when using hazards
I replaced the box...that was the problem. Cooling system was flushed about 1.5 years ago when I changed the water pump and thermostat. Coolant is a bright orange color, just like I put it in yesterday...sometimes with no a/c the truck runs over 210 F, even in 75-85 degree weather, which should not make it run that hot.
