'93 Metro Window Crank Handle - any aftermarket ones that fit ?

As I said in my previous thread
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul....php?t=1038016
I broke the centers out of the Plastic Window Crank Handles.

Cheap, weak plastic things.

Does anyone know where to buy after market METAL window crank handles
that would fit the splined crank rod ?

Are those splined crank rods Standard or is mine some Metric Proprietary size?

There was talk of a guy making metal ones but as far as I know, nothing came of it.

Fix the window regulator and keep the weatherstripping lubed with silicone spray lube for smooth upping and downing, then the standard crank will last just fine.

Yes, but is that splined crank rod English or Metric ?

If I get crank handles from a wrecking yard or Pull-n-Save, do I get them from
any car or only Foreign Cars ?

Are they all standard within the system they use ?

I need to know...

If you can't find a Metro handle, I found on my '92 that I could take a standard replacement GM from the auto parts store, and take a drill that just fit inside the splines, and drill into it about another quarter inch to clear the end of the shaft on the door enough for the clip to get to the groove in the shaft, and it fit.
