Re: To buy or not to buy?

I have owned three different Hyundais since 1997. In fact it's the only brand of car I've owned in that time period so that's how highly I think of them. None of them ever failed to start or needed to be towed for any reason. There is a high probability that my next car will be a Hyundai as well.

The '11 Sonata has been out for a good time now, and we've sold tons of them. We can't keep the SE's or Limited's in stock. I don't think we've done a single warranty repair on one yet. Gas mileage is excellent. I'm driving a Limited as a demo and I get almost 30mpg with almost all city driving. (30 minute commute, only 5 mins on interstate). I had some training to go to in Columbus, OH (3.5 hours each way). I got 35mpg doing 80mph each way, just what the sticker says it should get.

Re: To buy or not to buy?

If it's any help, I'm absolutely loving my new 2011 Sonata SE. Although the SE's suspension is a bit harsh on rough roads, and I used to drive an eclipse that was 8 inches off the ground

Re: To buy or not to buy?

I own a 2007 Limited and have had no issues with her. Firsst Sonata was a 1989 GLS with all the bells and whistles, 2.3 liter Mitsubishi 4 cyl and 4 speed auto, AC well you get it. Sold her in 1992 to buy a mini van and we never had one problem with her. Go buy one, you will love the car.

I'm doing my homework on the 11' Sonata now, and I recall the Edmunds review saying something about the SE trim having a rough handling.

Re: To buy or not to buy?

Btw, been driving the car for a few months now, and I've fallen in love with the way it handles and the "rough" suspension. This thing hugs curves and behaves more like my old Honda Prelude, just wish I would've waited for the Turbo version
