power window problem
2000 nbs 5.3l 4x4 tahoe
recently i noticed the drivers side front window operating much slower than im used to, especially when closing it. a few times it stopped operating completely after it had been parked for a few days. then after a few minutes of driving it started working. now it doesnt work at all. it is fully closed now, and when i try to open it it doesnt budge. if i press and hold the down switch, i can hear a clicking sound every second or two until i release the button. is it safe to assume the switch is fine and that the window motor itself has finally died after 210,000 miles worth of drive thru windows? lol i'm leaning more towards the motor that the switch itself. also, all 3 other positions work without a problem. if it is the motor, are there quality aftermarket replacements or do i go digging in the junk yards or new dealership? |
