I have a 2002 s-10 pickup, 2.2l, nothing special. I have noticed that my headlights are on all the time, as soon as i turn the key to the on position, they pop on. Im not talking about daytime running lights, but the actual headlights. I have replaced the headlight switch and the DRL module, still no change. Any suggestions out there ?

Re: Headlights on ?
try pushing the dome override button a few times...
not sure why they would be staying on, but pushing that button 4 times should turn em off. repeat to turn them back on

Re: Headlights on ?
Thanks Viggy
![]() The pushing of the dome override button worked, but i notice now after i shut the truck off and turn the key back on, the lights are back to where they were. I can cycle them off, but my question is. Do i have to do this now everytime i dont want the headlights and running lights on during the day ? |

Re: Headlights on ?
i'm not sure. i have a 2001 4.3 5-speed. i know that the headlights are also wired through the e-brake. for example, if it is dark, and the e-brake is off, the headlights come on immediately when i turn the key "on". if the e-brake is set, the headlights do not come on until the e-brake is released.
maybe whatever controls the signal through the e-brake (or shifter on an automatic) has gone bad?
