GEM module repair 98 Windstar

I had an issue with my interior light staying on, I cleaned contacts and sensors, still didn't fix. I also had the door open dinging when it shouldn't have from time to time. I replaced the GEM module or Body Control Module as some call it. Fairly easy fix, the module is up and to the right of the gas pedal. The toughest part was getting to the one bolt that held it in place. It has corrected both my problems. Hope this helps.

Re: GEM module repair 98 Windstar

Hey, thanks for the heads up. I like links like this with helpful hints. I wish more people would post their easy solutions like this. I'm not having this problem, but when I do, I will probably remember this post. Thanks again.
