08 Power Door Lock question

My 08 driver's side door lock will not go up or down using the key fob or the door mechanism. It tries to go up and down, but can't make it either way. It works manually by hand or with the key in the door. I tried some W-d 40 in the lock but with no luck. Any ideas?

remove the interior door panel and operate tthe lock see if it is binding on something ...use white litium grease on the linkages and areas where it slides..

Re: 08 Power Door Lock question

Local Chevrolet dealer is replacing door lock actuators right and left.. My neighbor had all 4 of his replaced last week (after two had already gone bad).. Our LTZ with only 11K miles on it, the driver rear door isn't not unlocking good enough for the handle to work..

It appears to be a known issue.. Same problem we had on our 1999 Suburban!!

Gotta get that fixed, and our hood won't stay open anymore...

Re: 08 Power Door Lock question

Its the door lock actuator assembly. They are junk on the new body style C and K trucks. I have replaced many of them and have done a few truck with all four.
