Re: Subara Impreza WRX STi

Hello Kris,

that is one clean and stunningly detailed model, sir! Perfect everything: paint, interior, choice of wheels, stance... A joy to watch!

May I have the leftover original wheels? Trade? Price?

Cheers
Sebastian

what color/paint did you use for the interior to get the very good looking, fabric-like, flat paint, it looks awesome!
For the interior I used tamiya acrylic paint. Maybe it will be so flat cause I used a 0.2 nozzle and needle in my airbrush for this job?

Kris.

Hi Kris, I rarely comment your wip but I always appreciated your style and skill.

Lovely Impreza, very cleanly done. I like the wingless look and the rims.

Bravo !

NICE JOB! Man, I'm looking forward to recieve the same kit, so I could start on a Replica Wip for my cousin..
I really love how the wheels look, and the colour looks grat, but I prefer Mica Blue on the Subi

Re: Subara Impreza WRX STi

Itīs a nice built .. despite the mold lines on the rear bumper.. perhaps you could work better on this problem on the next model

Congrats...

the moldlines are renoved of course, but sometimes they show up again after clearcoating the body. I dont know why, but it happends.... Nothing to do about it unless you can tell me a solution for it? It's to much work to remove the paint and start from the beginning...

Re: Subara Impreza WRX STi

that's weird, the mold line doesn't seem to appear on the prime body, it must be frustrated to see it appear after gloss coat. any recovery will take too much time, let's pretend we don't see it (actually i don't see it until it was mention)

Re: Subara Impreza WRX STi

It took a while, but I managed to do something to this model

I wanted to lower the rideheight, so I had to do some little modifications on the chassis. It was pretty simple to do, so after that, I could go further with the ''normal'' work.

First I did the brakes. I could chose between ventilated or normal PE discbrakes. Of course I used the ventilated

I also added some Brembo logos on the calipers.

The wheels got painted wheelnuts, and I added some decals on the wheels.

Now they could be glued on the chassis. I also painted the exhaust further and made nice exhausttip on the lathe of my dad. I also wheatered the chassis a bit, but it was hard to do on the smooth clearcoat.

The interior was already finished, and was glued on the chassis now.

Now everything is finished, I only have to put the body on it and wax it another time.

Kris.

Yes i can, there is a glue called Jet, this is a kind of special glue used by dentists, you can apply under and below the area that had a panel line, it will avoid retraction. Iīm not sure if you can find this product with this name, but if you want i can try to find the composition and then you can look for it or for something similar.

Please donīt take my comment as personal, i liked your model a lot, if you post it here or whatever you show it you have to be opened to receive any kind of comment.

Regards

Cris
