Blinker noise after the blinker clicks off?
My wife's 03 Grand Am has developed a "ghost" blinker problem. After the blinker clicks back to position and the light goes out you can still hear the sound of the blinker. Doesn't matter which direction either. Any ideas? Could it be the flasher module?

It's the multi-function swith in the steering column. Very easy to change. They cost around $100 or you can do what most guys do on here and clean all the old grease and grime off it and reinstall it. Search around on here and you'll find 1000's of posts about this subject.

Another cause for this is the hazard switch, very common. Also you can now buy an aftermarket switch made by Dorman instead of GM. $
It's easy to replace yourself and she'll love you more after...

Re: Blinker noise after the blinker clicks off?
Before buying the new hazard switch check for recalls and see if 1.) the hazard switch recall applies to your car (not certain but I think it stopped at the 02 models) and 2.) check to see if it was completed on your vehicle...a call to the dealer with your vin handy will get you that answer.
