A question about the 2001 Accent

Is the 2001 Accent head an interference head? So, if a timing belt goes tits up, will my valves be shot? I have a chance to buy one for $500 that "needs valve work" I'm guessing that a timing belt went out on these folks and they're unloading the car cheap, because they say the valves are toast.

Some answers to this would be appreciated.

Hmmmmmmmm I guess there isn't anyone here with any intelligence.

It's almost like being broke down by the highway and people just keep driving by with a blank stare, slowing down traffic behind them.

For anyone else looking at this, sadly it's an interference motor. If the belt breaks it will kiss the valves.
