01 town car a/c completely screwed it seems

about at week and a half ago i was in a front end wreck and my ac stoped working meaning it occasionally lit up with everything lit up at once and nothing happens when i touch bottons no noises nothing had body shop check for problems and they checked fuses tryed recharging unit and they said they had no idea insurance caled and said it had nothing to do with the wreck in which i think it did kuz one minute it worked the next it didnt but they said it was my a/c controller which is who knows what any info would be helpful
