Problem is intermittent. There are times when the transmission shifts smoother than a babies bottom. Other times is shifts very hard often "slamming" into the next gear. When it is acting up the cruise control doesnt work either. I also lose half of the function of my overdrive gear. It will kick into the first stage of the overdrive but wont fully go.
... It also has a short somewhere in the wiring which I tried a while ago to install LED light bulbs in place of the factory bulbs and they instantly lit up with no lights on or keys in the truck. Once I pulled the transmission and dash cluster fuse it stopped. I am at total wits end with this sob. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this. John
