Exclamation lim? hg? water in intake m. and smoking/steaming

Hello every one i just purchased this 99 alero with the 3.4. i new there was some problems when i bought ie; steam from exhaust. so to day i started taring it down. went to take the maf off and coolant poured out. then continued to upper in take same thing. aswell as water in the lower. the oil had no visible signs of milkiness but looked 1 to 2 quarts to high. after removing the lim i looked down toward the valves an notice in one port in each head, both the center ones had coolant setting on the valves. what gives? any suggestions?

OK for the record it was the head gasket that was causing the water in the uim aswell as TB. i learned that the easiest way to get the rear head off is to take the crossover exhaust pipe aswell as the exhaust manifold off with the head. no need to unbolt either exhaust manifolds off the heads. makes it SOOOO much easer!
