97 Grand Caravan alarm issue

My Father has 1997 Grand Caravan, I believe it has a 4 cyl. The issue he is having is when he locks the door either using the key in the door or the remote on the key. The alarm will go off in about a minute. Today he locked the front doors from the inside and got out thru the side door and the alarm did not go off. He want to know if there is a fuse to disable the alarm until he can get it fixed or what can he do?
