I sanded a "dent" into my new civic! Can I fix?

Just got my new 08 civic si black.
I somehow got a nasty rock chip by the door handle.
I touched it up, sanded down with very wet 2000 grit and buffed with some scratch x. I was up close to the car as I did this. The chip blends perfectly, only problem.
When I stepped back I was sad since I seem to have sanded a small dent into the cars clear coat. At the right angle this looks rather bad... about the size of a football shaped pea appears to be a dent.

Yet its just my shit sand job, not a dent. Since the scratch is gone can I just start layering clear coat touch up on it, then sanding - more carefully this time! As in, clear coat the entire little “dent” and then sand, and then rework as necessary?

Or am I ******?

Should I just give up and leave it with it matching well, but with a dent in the clear?

Thanks for all the help!
