Truly sad - I caught an article last week that, in reviewing the Chrysler Pacifica, quoted the Matra Rancho as one of the first crossover cars.

More's the pity that the
Avantime failed - Head Designer Patrick LeQuement got the new style right with the new Megane, but I guess the whole 2-door minivan deal was a little too much for most people.
