2002 M5 installing EBC brake pads

Hello,
I replaced my OEM pads that were worn with NEW redstuff from EBC. I realize there is a bed in process that I am going through. The rotors are fine from sight, actually very nice from sight and the car stops fast but after the bedding in I have don, almost 500 miles with some heavy 5 times of stopping per mfg after 200 miles they squel at slow stops. Any suggestions ? EBC says there is a shim factory installed after 2006. I did not add anything and it looks like shims clip on the back. I am tired of this. Should I just replace the pads to another brand and eat the cost ?
Thanks for any help.
