You'll spend more than $3000 for the supercharger, the price went way up after GMPP discontinued them. The only reasons I went with the supercharger are that I don't plan on going past 250 HP (just wanted some power when I wanted it, not for racing) , I had very little knowledge of forced induction at that time, and I was installing it on my only [practical to drive] vehicle and I didn't want to drive my offroading truck 30 miles a day to work for weeks while I figured out how to install the turbo.
