Re: Come back of Peugeot in the USA !

Peugeots in general are reliable cars. My father has for example a Citroën Evasion Hdi (diesel) which is the same as the Peugeot 806, it is from 2001 and has 260 000 km (160 000 miles) without having a problem. He just replaced it by a C4 Picasso. We had also 3 Coupé 406 (two Hdi and one gas), no problem.

207 and 407 especially are reliable too.
The 207 CC costs 18 000 to 26 000 euros (USD22 000 to 31 000) and is available in 3 motorisations : 1.6 16v 120hp, 1.6 16v 150hp and 1.6 Hdi 16v (diesel) 110hp. The gas engines are made in collaboration with BMW and available on the brand new Mini. The 1.6 16v 170ch of the 207 RC should appear on the CC.
The 407 costs from 22 000 to 41 000 euros (USD 27 000 to 50 000). Engines, gas : 1.8 16v 125hp, 2.0 16v 141hp, 2.2 16v 163hp and 3.0 V6 24v 211hp. Diesel : 1.6 Hdi 16v 110hp, 2.0 Hdi 16v 136hp, 2.2 Hdi 16v 170hp and 3.0 V6 24v 204hp.
407 SW : + 1 300euros (USD + 1 600)
407 Coupé from 30 000 to 46 000 EUR (USD 36 to 55 000).

Just for information !

To bring one in the US, you have to add at least USD 2 000 for the shipping. But you can also buy one in South America which will be less far for you (look on Peugeot.com all the countries where Peugeot is available).
To verify, but I've heard that you can, as a private owner of the car, import one without making big modifications. In this case, you should have your car for the European price + shipping (more or less USD 2 000) + some other fees (less than 1 000 I think).
Then if you decide to buy one, you've to know that the price is not the same from one country to the other in Europe. For example, in Danemark, taxes on cars are very high, so the price without taxes (you should pay American taxes) is lower than in France, Italy or Germany for example.

"and how are they on upgrades?" I don't understand your question... What do you mean ? (my English is not excellent ).

All Peugeot are FWD except the 4007, SUV 4x4.

For fun : pics of some current Peugeots in the USA : http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=705698
