Ive seen a lot of cars with a CD attached to the mirror, it looks pretty funny if you ask me
but if you think that the CD is attached to the mirror by a string, and consider that the car is accelerating, decelerating, and turning left to right the CD will sway from side to side as well as round and round, so you would have to be very lucky if the camera takes a picture of the front of your car and the CD is blocking your face because it would have to be swayed towards your face and parallel to it too!
