I have a 1993 del Sol Si, it has the 1.6L SOHC engine, D16Z6, 5-spd tranny.
Here's how it started out. Started up fine to go pick up food. Drove maybe 2 miles and stopped at food place and turned engine off. Tried to start up 5-10 min after turning off and started to but quit. Tried again and failed. Got it pushed started. Drove home, 1 mile at most. Tried starting it again for the heck of it, and no go. Checked the fuses, all good, then checked starter. Starter didn't turn over when jumped, so I replaced the starter and tried again. Nothing, no clicking or anything. >
So reading Haynes repair manual, reading the ignition check and am not getting the check engine and battery lights on the dash, which book states means not getting any power to necessary items.
What would cause this to not even start the starter when jumping the battery to solenoid? And the battery is good. Any reasonable suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
