From what I remember he said if you trim off the pins that connect the upper body to the chassis rear wheel arches. This allows the body to relax when you attach. Mine was a pretty good fit during all my test fits during assembly, but at the time of final assembly it wasnt.

Thanks Ash 😊I decided to keep the pins as it helps locate the vents and wheel arches. I think the magnets have greatly helped with the alignment of the hatch. I have now added 2 more sets of magnets and it has the hatch sitting pretty good. I was also planning to put some guide plates on the rear of the magnets didn't work, but I am happy wit the result.
I also adjusted the rear suspension as I was not happy with the reverse rake. But now I have a large gap between the wheel and arch. Time to get the putty out 😂🔪
Also cut out the vents and added styrene.
