2012 Honda RC213V Casey Stoner (Late season)

Hello, guys. This is my first WIP in the forum, I just completed the last machine ridden by beloved Casey Stoner, REPSOL Honda RC213V.

I used a TAMIYA kit as base, and combined with K'S WORKSHOP trankit. the trans kit need so modification since the tank cover and seat are different from the 2013 type.

First, I did the clutch. I use Top Studio clutch set for 2002 RC211V, and combined it with the RC213V plastic parts.

Then, I started doing the cowlings.
I glued the front and side first, so I don't need the screw holes.
Also I puttied the place for side cowl little wings.

I changed the shape of tank cover and seat, to reproduce the Stoner's bike.
Though not 100% the same it's acceptable for me.

I also cut out some molds on the resin swing arm. The chain adjuster are different, and I planned to use some PE parts and detail-up shafts.

the original position of on board camera is too high, need modifications, too

The duct size on the side cowl also need modification.

just like this

I wanted to make movable chain, but there haven't been any products.
so I do it myself with RC211V sets, combined with some plastic parts from RC213V.

I used 0.4mm masking tape to do the heat stain.

The shape of Casey's wind shied is different from Marc's, so I heat pressed it.

the result is acceptable.

doing the Honda emblem using T2M logo stickers and MaxMotoModeling decals
but the red area is too big so I adjusted it. you can see it on final result.

masking the tyres to do the soft tyre used by Casey in Phillip Island.

painted the REPSOL color with fluorescent orange and fluorescent red from MaxMotoModeling. and TAMIYA TS-53.

Also I did some carbon decals and modified the shape of left ankle guard

here's the final result:

More photos in the Completed Project post! Thank you.
