1991 Saab 9000
CD 234 NA 16 valve with 227146 miles lost Balance Drive Crankshaft Gear. Attempting to replace ALL damaged Timing and Balance Drives’ Guides with
Cylinder Head still attached. Well I know, “Can’t be done”, is the immediate answer, but what about, “removing the tensioner guide pivot stud” to remove the Timing Chain pivoting Chain Guide.
Are there any known techniques for removing pressed-in engine block studs?
On the lower right inside of Timing cover there a "groove" around the oil pump main oil-ways. This groove if filled with same hard black material. Is this material hard, “cured rubber”, or something that should be cleaned out.
