Most pre-made cat-backs available for the Z32 are 2.5", which is fine. If you're going for big power then a 3" system is a good option provided the rest of the exhaust is the same diameter. If you're interested in the 3" then I would wait a bit, Specialty Z is going to be coming out with a 2.5" to 3" expansion down pipe, which will mate perfect with the back of the turbo (unlike a 3" pipe) and allow for a 3" system from the down pipe back with no other expansion joints.
