I have just replaced the power steering pump and flushed the system. I also replaced the belt and tensioner at the same time.
Air has been bled from the system and i have checked everywhere for leaks and cant see any and im not loosing any fluids. But I still have a lack of power and the whistle noise sounds like it is sucking air into the system somewhere...WTF!
I still get some small bubbles coming up in the reservoir even tho i have bled the system soo many times now..
What is going on?
I am at a loss, can someone please help??
Thanks in advance

Did you replace the pump because it was leaking, or because of the low assist issue?
Our van had hard steering, sometimes referred to as a 'morning' or first start up issue that would go away as it warmed up. Had 225,000 Kms on it. Your mileage?
When the van was in the shop for a trans rebuild I had them swap out the rack with a Fenco reman unit; - about $215 for the rack. (You need the sub frame dropped a bit to get the rack out).
You are near Whistler??, so you might be able to pick one up from Lordco or PartSource.
Solved the problem with hard steering. Something to consider.
