I bought a 2014 XV Crosstrek new in 2014. It seems to have an excessively long lag time between park and engaging in drive sometimes but maybe I am used to that now, or maybe that is just normal for this year. I actually received a recall letter in the mail about possible transmission failure for my car and I called and spoke with the dealership about it but they didn't seem to think my car needed looking at because they said the issue on recall was the transmission completely going out of gear when being driven. You might want to look into the recall on that model but other than the excessive lag time between park and drive with my car I have been pleased with it's performance.
