Thumbs up Intro and a question

Hey all,

This is my first forum and will have lots of questions as time goes on. I grew up in the 60's when muscle cars abounded, but never owned one. When I finally bought one on EBay I was the victim of a huge rip-off. It's a 1968 Firebird coupe that was grossly misrepresented. At any rate it is restoreable but has been in storeage for 3 years waiting on my house to be finished. Now that I'm about ready to start the dismantling I'm sure lots of question will come up, especially since I'm a novice at this. First thing I'd like to know: From what I understand about the Pontiac V8 engines, the same block was used (unlike Chevy) and the displacement was based on the bore & stroke. That being said, are there any issues with boring a Pontiac 350 to make it a 400? I believe with boring a Chevy 350 there are problems with cylinder wall thickness.

Thanks in advance....
