Tamiya Ferrari F40, not for the purists

Doing a collaboration with @the_kyza from Instagram. Turning one of his renders into scale realism.

So I ordered the Tamiya F40 and was at my door in just over a week.

First up was to decide on wheels. Went with Work Meister 18" as I found the bigger diameter wheels made the car too high.

Also checked the dreaded fitment, on the rear hatch. Got a bit lucky as it is not too badly twisted.

Now probably the purists are already disgusted with the render as the wing has been removed. Well, I'm going to do more than just that.

Yep, I'm replacing the small block V8 twin turbo with a quad rotor twin turbo. I will be mating the R26B engine to the Ferrari gearbox.

Modified the front brakes to get the Meisters under the guards. Had to cut down the brakes.

Thanks for looking.
