Have you got a funny factory story? The latest title from
MPire Books of Crewe, Bletch, Brass & Banter, will be collection of funny stories from two of the town’s big employers across the years – Crewe Works and Rolls-Royce (
latterly Bentley Motors). The authors are looking for stories and amusing anecdotes overheard at the factories from any era. So it could be from your time employed on the line, in the warehouse or in one of the many workshops; it could be your mother, father or even grandparents who passed on a tale. Anything from stories about factory life, special events, legendary characters, pranks, trips out and just ridiculous comments made by some of the workers. A brief one-liner or a substantial tale, we are interested in them all.
