Not really car audio related but ... get two wash mitts, one for the car main and the other for wheels, wheel wells, rocker panels, etc ... Also you can use the two bucket method, one has the soap and water in it, the other is used to rinse the mitt/sponge with. If you get bucket 2 with grader on the bottom it will help trap any particles you picked up.
You can spray wax every day, kind of a waste though. You can also use a waterless wash system, spray it on and wipe it off almost like spray wax.
