You won't be experiencing the PCV problems since the V8 does not have a PCV elbow. The catalytic converter also will not cause these diagnostic codes, you need to be looking for air entering the system after the MAF sensor. Since you get codes for both banks, chances are the vacuum leak is in the intake somewhere that would effect both banks.
Please confirm that you are getting both P0171 and P0174.
